Do I have to live in Riverside to attend GCCA?

No, but students must reside within a county bordering Riverside.

Is there a fee to attend GCCA?

Gateway provides free college classes, books and materials.

Are classes in person or virtual?

Schedules are individualized to meet each student’s needs. We offer flexible options that include, in person, online and hybrid schedules.

How long will it take me to graduate?

A school guidance counselor will evaluate your transcript and create an individualized educational plan for you based on your personal goals.

Can I come to Gateway to make up credits then return to my previous high school to graduate?

Yes, we enroll students year round and credits can be transferable based on district requirements. 

How old do you have to be to attend Gateway?

Any high school aged students up to the age of 21.*

*Students 19 years or older must confirm eligibility before enrolling.

What are the criteria to enroll at Gateway?

Aside from age-related eligibility, there are no criteria other than being a high school-aged youth.

Is there a limited time for students to enroll at GCCA?

No, we have continuous enrollment year round, including summer and winter sessions.

How many college courses can I take?

At a minimum, students complete three to four college courses. However, students can take more courses towards their college and career goals.
